How can we combine the proximity and immersion of a field trip or hands-on activity with the convenience of in-class videos and images? Explore exciting new possibilities through leveraging recent technological advances in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) to allow students to virtually explore different places and experiences. Imagine being able to bring your class on a virtual tour of Paris, or visualize a graph or piece of art in 3D in front of their eyes. In this presentation, the instructor will share his own experiences and uses for the technology, as well as provide an overview of designing, developing and testing his own VR product. Additionally, participants may have the opportunity to interact and experiment with the technology.
