Join us on Sunday, July 6th to celebrate five years of collaboration between the UBC Asian Canadian & Asian Migration Studies program and the Museum of Vancouver on the backyard garden project. This event will feature a special panel conversation between four alumni who helped activate and program around the garden over the years. They’ll share personal stories, experiences, and insights from their time there.
Come reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and learn about food systems, community-engaged programming, and the connections between land and culture. This in-person event is free and open to all. Light refreshments will be served. We look forward to seeing you there!
We would like to acknowledge that this event will take place on the traditional, unceded, ancestral homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), and Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations. We also want to note that this event is organized with the generous support form the ACAM Fund, UBC Centre for Asian Canadian Research & Engagement, and the Museum of Vancouver.
