Courses

ACAM’s Approved Course List is comprised of List A and List B courses.

List A consists of courses offered by the program’s affiliated faculty that focus on critical issues and methodologies specific to the field of Asian Canadian and Asian Migration Studies, often with a bent towards community-oriented research and knowledge production.

List B offers a wider range of courses across disciplines that might help to supplement and extend students’ research and learning interests. Students may request for permission to count other courses as List B courses if they are deemed appropriate for inclusion in the student’s program of study. Students may also count up to 6 credits of upper-level Asian language courses if this training is pertinent to the student’s academic program. Students seeking to count language courses towards their minor are required to consult and obtain approval from the ACAM Minor Advisor.
