LITERARY INTERACTIONS BETWEEN CHINA AND CANADA BY LAIFONG LEUNG AND JIA MA
The book Literary Interactions between China and Canada is one of the 17 volume project “Literary Interactions between China and Foreign Countries” produced by Shandong Education Press. This 450,000-word book is the first work to explore the topic and it lays the foundation for future studies. The book, largely based on primary sources, recreates the ethnic Chinese community as a cultural community. It traces the development of literature by ethnic Chinese written in Chinese, English and French, as well as Sinology in Canada and the reception of Canadian literature in China, from the mid-19th century to the present.

From the morning after, her routine life with her husband and son began to transform. Somehow, her senses were rejuvenated. She began to feel alive—even though she ‘stopped’ sleeping all the while.
